Payroll Position

• Prepare full cycle semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls including new hires and terminations
• HRIS maintenance
• Input master data into Payroll system
• Report writing
• Complete Payroll journal entries
• Records of Employment
• Ensure general ledger accounting is set up correctly for pay codes and employees
• Assist with end of year reporting requirements
• Prepare and balance RRSP and Receiver General remittances
• Assist with balancing payroll accounts and reconciliation of accounts
• Payroll filing
• Respond to employee requests and inquiries
Qualifications & Requirements
• PCP Certification or working toward certificate
• 2 to 3 years of Payroll experience
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Experience working with an in-house Payroll system, particularly Avanti software would be an asset
